Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Serves 4

Ingredients:

1 16 oz can garbanzo beans (aka chickpeas), drained and rinsed

1/3 cup Chinese Fermented Black Bean Sauté & Marinade

1/2 cup red peppers, finely diced

1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/4 cup parsley, chopped

2 tbsp olive oil

4 whole grain rolls, split

1 ripe avocado, sliced

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, pulse beans until roughly chopped. Place in large bowl.
  2. Stir in Black Bean, red pepper, breadcrumbs and parsley and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in large skillet over med-high heat, cook veggie patties about 3 mins on each side until golden brown, carefully turning once.
  4. To serve, place patty on bottom half of the bun, top with sliced avocado and top bun. Pro move: Slather a little more Black Bean on the patty for another layer of flavor.
